what it means to fall

Published by Tall Lighthouse Press, this poem sequence is a result of my fascination with the science, history, and myths of falling— from Galileo dropping a rock hammer and a feather from the leaning tower of Pisa, to Eve biting into the apple.

Like an astronaut cocooned on the quiet side
of the moon, watching a rock hammer
and a falcon’s feather drop together minus gravity
she gathers facts.
